Timberhouse Aero Estates is a fly-in community just North of Indianapolis Indiana. It is a small and peaceful community for aviation oriented families.
The fly-in community of 125 acres is carved out of the surrounding 400 acre Timberhouse Farms. Timberhouse Farms with its private airstrip was started in the late 1960's and has been owned ever since by Lawrence and Frances Schmidt. In addition to the Schmidt residence and private airstrip, the farm has always had the relaxing view of a variety of horses roaming its pastures and riding its trails.
| Timberhouse has always been a place where family and friends gather. The hangar has held many gatherings from the occasional wedding and birthday party to the more common weekend with friends working on airplanes and reminiscing. |

Lawrence Schmidt is a retired Captain from USAir, which is where his wife Frances works as a flight attendant. The Schmidts have enjoyed living at Timberhouse over the past few decades and would like to make this pleasant area available to other aviation enthusiasts. The estate lots are generous in size and limited in number so that the elegant and peaceful country setting will be maintained. Since it is just beginning in 1998 there are choice estate lots still available.
